Infinix Unveils First Foldable Smartphone: Zero Flip
Infinix has unveiled its first foldable smartphone – the Infinix Zero Flip. This new device closely resembles Tecno’s previously launched Phantom V Flip2 in both design and specifications.
The Infinix Zero Flip comes with a 6.9-inch main display that features an LTPO AMOLED panel supporting a resolution of 2,640 x 1,080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The peak brightness of the primary screen is rated at 1,400 cd/m². Additionally, it includes a secondary 3.64-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,056 x 1,066 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
The camera module comprises two main 50-megapixel sensors measuring one inch each (1/1.57). The primary sensor includes optical stabilization for improved video shooting quality, while the secondary lens is used for wide-angle photography. For capturing videos, both cameras support up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.
The Infinix Zero Flip tips the scales at 195 grams and has a thickness of 16 mm when folded and 7.6 mm in an open state. It features a hinge mechanism that provides several angles ranging from 30 to 150 degrees without any gaps when closed. The phone is driven by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor (four Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2 GHz, along with Mali-G77 MC9 graphics). It offers 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
Running on Android 14 with Infinix’s proprietary XOS 14.5 skin, the device promises two major OS updates and three years of security patches. The Infinix Zero Flip is powered by a 4720 mAh battery that supports 70W fast charging.
Available in Rock Black (black) and Blossom Glow (pink), the Infinix Zero Flip is priced around $645. This new foldable model will be launched initially in Nigeria, but it's expected to find its way onto other markets as well.
