How is it really with the stunning Rosie Huntington-Whiteley from 'Transformers' and 'Mad Max'?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is primarily a model, but she also appeared in two blockbusters: Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Mad Max: Fury Road. These will likely be the only films where she acted. But how is it going for her now?

Before she started acting, Huntington-Whiteley began her career as a model. As a 15-year-old student, she did work experience at the modeling agency Profile in London. After finishing school in the summer of 2003, at 16 years old, she got a contract and her first photoshoot was for a Levi's jeans commercial.

Breakthrough as a Model

Her breakthrough as a model came in January 2004 when she traveled to New York for a photoshoot with Teen Vogue. Later that year, she made her catwalk debut alongside Naomi Campbell in New York during the spring of 2004 and was subsequently photographed by Bruce Weber for Abercrombie & Fitch.

In early 2006, she signed a contract with the American lingerie brand Victoria's Secret, where she made her debut at the brand's fashion show in Los Angeles. Huntington-Whiteley remained unknown outside of the modeling world until 2008 when she was cast by creative director Christopher Bailey to replace Agyness Deyn for Burberry's autumn/winter campaign alongside actor Sam Riley.

Victoria's Secret Angel

In November 2008, she appeared on her first cover of British Vogue alongside Eden Clark and Jourdan Dunn in a special issue celebrating British models. The following year, Huntington-Whiteley became the face of Karen Millen's spring/summer campaign for 2009. She also starred in a short film for the lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, portraying a woman who forgets Valentine's Day to her boyfriend.

In February 2010, Huntington-Whiteley was officially named a Victoria's Secret Angel and participated in the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York City. The following year, she confirmed that she would not walk in the show again, stating later that she left Victoria's Secret to pursue other opportunities because she was "aware of the short shelf-life of a model."

Acting

After her modeling work, Huntington-Whiteley made the transition to acting. In 2010, she appeared in a short film and then played Carly Spencer in Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 2011, which was the third installment in the Transformers film series. The movie was directed by Michael Bay, with whom she had previously worked on a Victoria's Secret commercial.

It took until 2015 for her to appear in another film, where she played the role of The Splendid Angharad, one of the five women of warlord Immortan Joe, in Mad Max: Fury Road. To play her pregnant character, she wore a prosthetic belly during filming.

Ambassador

Before appearing in Mad Max: Fury Road, she was seen in Marks & Spencer's Christmas campaign with Helena Bonham Carter and David Gandy in 2013. She was also announced as the face of the Australian cosmetics brand ModelCo.

In 2014, Huntington-Whiteley became an ambassador for PAIGE for their spring advertising campaign in 2015. In February 2017, PAIGE launched their first design collaboration with Huntington-Whiteley: a capsule collection of 17 pieces for the spring, named Rosie HW x PAIGE. This was followed by a fall collection with 20 pieces.

About Face

Since then, Huntington-Whiteley has not acted in films again. She appeared only in the reality series About Face in 2020, where she spoke with today's biggest beauty icons, including Kylie Jenner and Huda Kattan, to hear their stories and discover what it takes to build a beauty empire.

Additionally, Huntington-Whiteley is a mother of two children. She has been together with actor Jason Statham since 2010, whom she met at a party in London. They have two children: son Jack Oscar, born in 2017, and daughter Isabella James, born in 2022.

Rose Inc.

Shortly after the birth of her first child, Huntington-Whiteley launched her website Rose Inc. The site began as a beauty publication that worked with her Instagram and YouTube accounts. In August 2021, the brand expanded and started selling its own makeup and skincare products.

Huntington-Whiteley is now no longer actively acting but keeps herself busy with other projects, including Rose Inc. Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Mad Max: Fury Road remain her only two films in which she appeared. Whether or not she has plans to return to acting is unknown.
