Belgian Top Actor Conquers Important Role in 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow'

The Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts has already gained plenty of experience with the blockbuster genre. For example, he was seen in The Danish Girl and The Old Guard. This will certainly come in handy for his upcoming role in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

The 46-year-old Schoenaerts has managed to secure one of the leading roles in the upcoming DC film. The actor has signed up for the big villain role in the film and will be crawling into the skin of Krem or the Yellow Hills.

What to Expect

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is based on the eponymous DC comic series that only came out two years ago. The superheroine is played by Milly Alcock, who is primarily known from the popular HBO series House of the Dragon.

Schoenaerts will be seen as Krem, a murderous mercenary. When he one day murders the mother of the legendary warrior Ruthye Marye Knoll, Supergirl steps in to track down Krem.

Team

The film is directed by filmmaker Craig Gillespie. He has already made strongly acclaimed films such as I, Tonya and Lars and the Real Girl. Filming for the Supergirl film is expected to begin in late 2024 or early 2025.
