Huawei is preparing to release the first Kirin chip for PCs and HarmonyOS PC

Huawei may delay the launch of its Kirin processor for PCs until the first quarter of 2025. This is reported by BeijingDigitalMaster.

This month, a series of smartphones Nova 13, a new MatePad tablet, Sound X4 speakers, Hi MateBook smart laptop, and a public beta version of HarmonyOS Next are expected to be released. In November, a stable version of HarmonyOS Next is expected, along with the flagship Mate 70 line and the foldable phone Mate X6.

Previously, information about the possible release of HarmonyOS PC within the next six months appeared. Perhaps Huawei will present the Kirin PC chip simultaneously with this operating system.

It is expected that the Kirin PC chip will follow the architecture of Apple M chips, combining DRAM and SoC in one housing. This will increase memory bandwidth and improve efficiency. The new chipset will also provide modern AI functions for laptops.

Although the Kirin PC processor may be slightly less energy-efficient than those for phones, it offers a new CPU architecture and improved AI capabilities. BeijingDigitalMaster is known for its accuracy in predicting news about HarmonyOS, so its information is worth attention.
