Apple has released iOS 18.0.1 and iPadOS 18.0.1, the first updates to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, which arrived two weeks after the launch of iOS 18.

The new software can be downloaded to compatible iPhones and iPads via Wi-Fi by going to "Settings" > "General" > "Software Update".

iOS 18.0.1 addresses issues with the touchscreen, camera, and the "Messages" app:

Previously, some iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max users reported that their phone screens sometimes stopped responding to taps and swipes, and showed how the "death grip" (Death Grip) looked.
