These Samsung phones are already selling well. The Galaxy A56 will get the Exynos 1580 SoC, which is not much faster than the Exynos 1480 for now.
The Samsung Galaxy A56 has been spotted in benchmark tests, showcasing its performance.
At its core will be the new Exynos 1580 SoC, a processor that shows decent results: 1353 and 3832 points in Geekbench 6.
For comparison, the Exynos 1480 in the Galaxy A55 scores around 1100 and 3500 points. So the new one is not much faster, although the single-core performance has grown noticeably. You can also compare it to the Exynos 2400e in the Galaxy S24 FE with its 2100 and 6700 points, so the difference is very large, although the price difference between the phones is not so huge.
The new phone will have an Xclipse 540 GPU, likely based on AMD RDNA 3 architecture. The Exynos 1480 in AnTuTu scores around 700,000 points, so you can expect around 800,000 or more from the new one. For the mid-range segment, this is a good result, although it's far from what Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 or Dimensity 8300 show.
Considering that all Galaxy A5x models have become bestsellers in the Samsung lineup, the company is important for the Galaxy A56 to be better than its predecessor, and the platform, as we see, will definitely be better.
