US Sanctions Hit Tesla: Company Halts Sales of Cheapest Model 3 in the US

Tesla has stopped selling the standard rear-wheel drive version of the Tesla Model 3 in the US, confirmed by information on the official website.

Currently, the starting model for the Tesla Model 3 in the US is the Long Range version with rear-wheel drive, priced at $42,490.

The standard rear-wheel drive version of Tesla, whose production has been halted in the US, uses lithium-iron-phosphate batteries (LFP), manufactured in China. It was sold for $38,990, however, due to rising import tariffs on the corresponding batteries, the model's price was expected to increase significantly. Therefore, the company decided to stop sales.
