Some iPhones after iOS 18 update start draining 30% battery in an hour

Some iPhone users recently reported a significant decrease in battery life after installing iOS 18 update. In some cases, the battery drains 20-30% within just one hour.

Apple has provided some recommendations. First, users should update to the final version of the firmware if they haven't already. Apple Support notes that while users can immediately use their iPhones after the update, some background processes continue to run, temporarily affecting battery life and heat. These background tasks can cause the device to consume more energy for a period of time after the update.

Apple confirms that battery usage stabilizes within a few days as the system adapts to the new update.
