Mark Gurman replies in his next tweet that he expects the new iPad Pro to be released today. The original story from the weekend follows.
Apple already introduced its new iPhone and Apple Watch models last month. However, the company is rumored to be working on several other new products. According to a new analysis, the M2 iPad Pro will be announced in the coming days. However, new Macs will not be available until later this year.
New iPads coming very soon
New iPad models are expected to arrive shortly, according to Gurman. More specifically, a new generation iPad Pro equipped with the M2 chips, the same as the M2 MacBook Air introduced in June. The new iPad Pro models will keep the current form factor with 11-inch and 12.9-inch displays.
The M2 processor is approximately 20% faster than the M1, implying that consumers are unlikely to notice a significant performance gain compared to the current iPad Pro model. There are also other major hardware changes at this point.
The new entry-level iPad will be powered by the A14 Bionic chip, the same as the iPhone 12 and iPad Air 4. This means that Apple will keep the iPad Pro and iPad Air''s M-series chips for longer periods.
Gurman had previously stated that his iPadOS 16.1 will be released to the public on October 24. It wont be a surprise if the company announced the new iPads as soon as next week. A journalist also believes that the products will be announced with a press release rather than a special event.
What about new Macs?
Recent speculations suggest the release of new Macs in late 2022. Despite Gurman''s belief that Apple will soon introduce new Macs, he claims that the new computers will be introduced at a later date rather than with the new iPads.
Apple is also planning a new iPhone TV with the A14 processor and 4GB of RAM, which would be a significant increase from the A12 version. However, details regarding when this new Apple TV will be announced are unknown.
