According to shared info from a digital chat station, the Redmi Note 12 series might include the newly launched MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. The new 6nm processor is expected to improve performance and efficiency over the Dimensity 920. The SoC also has an upgraded ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores with an ARM Mali-G68 processor. The new MediaTek SoC will also have a 200MP main camera sensor, which would be a trend in smartphones in 2023.
A hardware-accelerated HDR video recording processor is added to the chipset to achieve up to 4K resolution. MediaTek also claimed that the Dimensity 1080 SoC''s HyperEngine 3.0 and integrated AI processing unit 3.0 offer gaming capabilities and seamless connectivity.
Although MediaTek or Xiaomi have not confirmed the development, a new report claims that the Redmi Note 12 series phone containing the MediaTek DImensity 1080 SoC posted a score of over 520,000 on AnTuTu.
