The Shenzhen-based company has confirmed the arrival of the new Honor X-series smartphone in its country on Monday, revealing the design in detail and several specifications. Additionally, live shots of the phone have leaked online, implying a hole-punch display design.
The new Honor X40 GT will be launched in China on October 13th at 7:30pm local time (5:00pm IST) as per a teaser poster posted by the company on Weibo. The Honor X40 GT is equipped with three sensors and a LED flash as well as GT branding.
Pre-reservations for the Honor X40 GT are currently live on the Honor Mall website, with major online retailers including Tmall, Suning, Douyin, and Jingdong. At this point, prices and other components of the upcoming device are unknown.
On Weibo, Tipster Digital Chat Station showed alleged hands-on displays of the Honor X40 GT. The leaked photographs mirrored the circular island on the back. Further, the power button and the volume rockers are seen on the left spine of the smartphone.
The Honor X40 GT is expected to be positioned above the recently introduced Honor X40 in China. The price of the vehicle has been set at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 17,100) for the base version, which includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The device, coupled with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, has a 6-megapixel front camera and a two-megapixel sensor.
