The Delhi Government has opened a green war room to monitor and combat air pollution 24X7 ...

According to Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Monday launched a high-tech Green War Room to monitor air pollution 24X7 in the country capital and ensure the effective implementation of a winter action plan. This war room will work from the seventh floor of the Delhi Secretariat, where a 12-member team of environmental experts and other officials will be deployed.

The advanced Green War Room will be operating 24/7. It will monitor air pollution levels 24X7 and ensure that all necessary measures are taken to mitigate pollution in accordance with the amended GRAP.

A Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is a set of anti-air pollution measures implemented in the national capital and its vicinity according to the severity of the situation.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had on Friday announced a 15-point winter action plan to combat pollution in the city.

Minister Rai said the war room will also be connected to the Green Delhi App, in which residents may send their complaints about pollution, such as garbage burning, to the war room. Afterwards, the appropriate instructions to the affected departments will be issued.
