Google''s Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be released on 6 October, but with the launch beginning at the beginning, the company is getting bigger as the competition continues. Both devices have apparently shown up on Google''s Play Console, which has also revealed some interesting features that might be unique to Pixel devices. The new Pixel 7 smartphones will feature the new Tensor G2 SoC and will also be coming to India this time.

The Play Developer Console, used by Google, is a platform for app developers to publish their apps and monitor their performance. Mishaal Rahman first saw the two phones on the Play Console, who disclosed further details in a thread on Reddit.

Face unlock, a new feature in the same thread, that might be the highlight of this year''s Pixel smartphones, has been reportedly supported by Android''s biometric face unlock feature, which was previously seen on Google''s Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones (which never made it to India). Both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro were also said to be capable of getting the same feature with its front-facing camera along with software, but for reasons well known to Google.

With the front-facing camera showing off exactly what previously leaked renders and videos, it will be interesting to see how Google implements a secure biometric face unlock using a regular selfie camera.
