Flipkart, an electronic business, announced on Friday that it saw 1.6 million concurrent users per second on the first day of its festive season sale.
The annual sales of e-commerce businesses, like Flipkart, Amazon, Meesho, and Snapdeal, have begun.
Flipkart said that early trends in its The Big Billion Days (TBBD) sale suggest that consumer sentiment in festive shopping is quite positive.
Adding to the trend among buyers, mobiles, large appliances, fashion, furniture, and home appliances were among the most popular topics.
"TBBD 2022 saw an unprecedented number of concurrent users on the app 1.6 million per second. "The number of Flipkart Plus customers using Early Access during TBBD 2022 saw positive growth as compared to the previous year. The majority of these customers were from Tier-2 cities and beyond," Flipkart said.
The Walmart-owned business stated that its easy payment option, Flipkart Pay Later EMI, had risen 12 times as early as Monday.

Shopsy, Flipkart''s e-commerce platform, has drew the attention of a large number of customers from Tier-2 countries and beyond, with sarees, men''s T-shirts, and headphones the most popular.
Flipkart said that during the first 24 hours of the event, one cycle was sold every second.
"Customers from Bharat (Tier-2 cities and beyond) continued to find value in Flipkart''s selection, across sectors.

"The highest orders came from New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and other cities including Berhampur, Howrah, Lucknow, Kolkata, Jaipur, Karnal, Patna, Bhuwaneshwar, Visakhapatnam, Surat, Agra, and Ghaziabad," the company said.
