Instagram, the social media giant, has announced the start of a program that will eliminate the Recent tab from the hashtag search results.
According to a Mashable report, Instagram argues that it may be used as a starting point to connect individuals to more information about hashtags.
In the main display, the company has decided to prioritize the presentation of recent posts and Reels.
"We''re experimenting with a few new techniques in making hashtags as useful as possible for individuals. We''re also testing current and accurate data under the "Top" and "Reels" tabs in ''Gaz groups,'' and deleting the "Recent" tab," Instagram said in a statement.
"We want to try to see if this helps people connect with more engaging and relevant information on hashtags while keeping them up to date," said the company.
This experiment is aimed at identifying strategies to discourage growth hackers from exploiting trends as per the outlet.
