Hero Electric has partnered with Bolt to build up 50,000 charge stations in India ...

Hero Electric announced on Wednesday that it has worked with Bolt, a leading electric vehicle charging company, to build 50,000 charging stations in the country in the next one year.

Bolt chargers will be installed in over 750 Hero Electric''''s touch points across India, with 4.5 lakh customers.

De plus, around 2,000 Hero Electric riders will receive free Bolt charging machines at their house.

"Our objective is to provide carbon-free mobility and speed up EV adoption in the United States by developing a robust charging ecosystem and employing mechanics to provide an enhanced EV riding experience." Sohinder Gill, Hero Electric CEO, said in a statement.

Adding that the partnership will benefit the sector in general and allow electric two-wheeler riders to have easy access to charging stations across India.

"This collaboration will help to provide a seamless charging experience for lakhs of Hero Electric customers, as they may use the existing Hero Electric app and website for discovery, booking, and payment.

"With a "Charger on-demand", range anxiety will be history as we wreak havoc on our mission of installing more than 1 million charging points over the next two years," said the co-founder of Bolt.

Bolt''s charging network will be leveraged both by Hero Electric''s enterprise partners and EV customers, reducing range anxiety.

Bolt will be integrated into the Hero Electric App and website, which provides a one-stop solution for finding a charging station, booking a slot, and payment.

Individuals may choose between a private or public mode of operation for their charging stations and choose the price depending on existing commercial/EV tariffs after the installation of Bolt charging stations.

Hero Electric riders will be able to use more subscriptions.

The Bolt charging network is hardware agnostic and can be integrated with any charging solution provider in the country.
