The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones are now available in India, but there are a few problems with the Pixel 7 Pro. As per a report, the Pixel 7 Pro appears to have only a slight improvement over the Pixel 7 Pro.
The Pixel 7 Pro''s 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel is generating more power than expected, putting the battery into a faster position. This type of display is expected to be in high-brightness mode, which is equivalent to half the brightness levels it is capable of. Samsung''s Galaxy S22+ in contrast consumes 2W at 600 nits and 4W at 1000 nits.
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro review units from Gadgets are still being used. However, we can confirm that the bigger Pixel 7 Pro, which lasts just a day for casual use (minimal camera and gaming usage).
Gadgets 360 can confirm that this issue exists with our review unit as well. We can also confirm that the display on our Pixel 7 review unit is still active. The issue seems to be triggered during the lock animation, but the screen stays active for a few milliseconds until the fade out lock screen animation is finished. It''s not clear if both issues will be addressed by Google in a software update, but we have reached out to Google.
