Truth Social, Trump''s famous social media app, has come back on the Google Play Store after being banned due to inadequate content moderation policies back in August 2022. Google claimed that the app had little knowledge of specific user-generated content (UGC) as well as physical threats and incitement to violence.

We informed Truth Social on August 19, citing several violations of their standard guidelines in their current app submission and reiterated that having effective user interfaces is a requirement of our terms of service for any app to be live on Google Play.
Notably, the app was not banned or restricted on the Apple App Store and is still available for download.
Google claims that companies that host UGC are required to have several content moderation policies to prevent illegal content. It also requires apps to disclose actionable content and users, as well as a system to take actions against them.
Truth Social''s policies were changed for about two months after the ban, and it was finally approved on the Play Store.
The Trump Media and Technology Group''s website has also developed several programs to make its app available to Android users. It also allowed users to side-load its app and listed it on the Samsung Galaxy store.
