Ignite 2022: Microsoft 365 has a new app, new features for Planner, Outlook, Editor, and Loop ...

During the Microsoft Ignite presentation today, a couple of announcements were made about Microsoft 365, among them the fact that it will be developing a new app. The app will contain all of your favorite apps that will prolong your productive day at work, whether at home or at the office.

Excel, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook all together in one app, enhancing accessibility. It will also include new apps like Microsoft Loop, which is in place to help you leverage Microsoft''s own fluid framework and allow you to handle various Loop snips. You may also include other third-party applications that you frequently use to it. Through the new Windows 365 app, users will also be able to access the cloud PC from the taskbar or start menu.

Microsoft is also partnering with Cisco to allow users to operate Teams natively on Cisco conferencing devices. Teams Premium is also introducing a new feature, an Intelligent recap, which is AI-powered and serves as a virtual assistant. It also creates tasks and shares personalized highlights. Teams premium also includes Live captions to ensure that all attendants are able to follow through with the meeting.

Users could quickly collaborate and edit Excel files inside Teams via Excel Live, which is now expected to be available in November. Now, with Teams Live Share, which is in preview, users may annotate, interact, and collaborate on any shared app directly from a Teams meeting window.

Users may increase the number of people who view Together Mode, including posing seats to participants in the Together Mode view, and even getting to pin it at the meeting stage so that everyone can see it.

Microsoft is launching Microsoft Places, a software package designed to give users a complete breakdown of the office system. That includes, who will be in the office, the sitting arrangement, scheduled in-person meetings that users should attend, and booking of spaces especially when the team is working from the office. Leaders can also benefit from their real estate investments as they learn how to use the space.

There is also a new feature that is available across Teams and Outlook which allows users to schedule in-person meetings. The hours and location feature allows users to make changes, and indicate whether they will be able to work remotely by the hour.

You will be able to interact with the most recent posts as they are placed on the top. Microsoft has added 800 reaction emojis that will allow users to quickly express themselves in Teams chat, as well as Video clips that will allow the users to send short videos that they have recorded for a more personalized touch.

While still Teams chat, Microsoft is also launching the Loop app, which includes workspaces, pages, and components that divide across Microsoft 365 apps. Loop also comes with a dynamic 365 integration within Teams, which allows you to add a Loop component into a Dynamics 365 record.

Edge Workspaces is now available in the Edge browser, which allows users who are working on a similar project to view the same files and websites in a single convenient location (as a shared set of browser tabs).

With Adaptive cards, organizations will be able to increase productivity by incorporating new ideas that help streamline work processes. Developers, through the tool, can connect interactive content from multiple applications into a single interface in Teams.

Microsoft''s InTune suite is now available with a slew of new features, which are designed to help protect an organization''s resources and control who has access to them.
