Ola Electric is reportedly planning a new electric scooter with a lower price tag and a lower feature to appeal to a wider audience. The new Ola electric scooter, presumably an Ola S1 variant, is expected to be launched on October 22nd at the Diwali event. Although not much is known about the vehicle yet, it is speculated that Ola would pay it around the Rs 80,000 mark, placing it in the midst of the scooter segment in India.

Since the FAME II funding will expire on March 2024, automobile manufacturers may gear up to reduce production costs and end-user costs of their products.

A smaller battery pack coupled with a more efficient motor might also be the direction that Ola Electric might go.
