Microsoft renamed its Partner Network to the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program earlier this year. The move included several changes, including the introduction of two levels of partner capabilities, the solutions partner level, and specializations, and expert programs. The company also made some changes to the program by reviving existing benefits as well as introducing new ones.

Microsoft is officially launching its Cloud Partner Program. This will help customers understand the ever-changing demands of the customers and, in turn, assist them in attaining their set goals. This is because it now includes a single-tier Solutions Partner Designation, which replaces traditional silver and gold competencies.

There are a slew of benefits that the partner faces to benefit from by entering the company''s largest technology ecosystem, which in turn assists the partners in developing and selling competitive solutions more quickly. Next up, partners will be able to innovate on the most comprehensive, end-to-end cloud platform, and finally, you get to do business with a trusted partner.

Microsoft indicated in an email from OnMSFT that:

The six new Solutions Partner designations, which are repurposing their old silver and gold competencies, are now applicable to all partners. These six solution areas include: Data & AI (Azure), Infrastructure (Azure), Digital & App Innovation (Azure), Business Applications, Modern Work, and Security.

Microsoft will be developing more Industry Designations for partners who develop software, starting with retail, healthcare, and financial services. Finally, through the ISV Success Program, Microsoft will invest in internal software vendors.

It is currently in public beta, but it will be transitioned to public beta later on in the year. Through the platform, ISV partners will be able to quickly and easily develop applications, accelerate innovation, and tap into a new and wider audience.
