Google has added a new feature to its system update for September 2018. It also allows users to "check the status of app installs happening on other devices." It has also added improved capabilities to allow for faster and more reliable app downloads and installation.
Google has also upgraded its child-friendly Kids Space, which allows users to hide recommended apps during onboarding, and to install Kids Space on a tablet''s secondary user account during device installation.
This month, users will benefit from improved account syncing and account recovery, a new display format that is attempting to simplify finding recommended apps, an automatic companion app installation, and a new secondary menu on Android devices.
According to Android Police, no of these security updates or modifications are currently visible to users on their devices, which might be the case of Google announcing updates before actually making the server-side switches necessary for the changes to reflect on them.
In addition to this, Google Wallet receives enhanced visual feedback when users lock, unlock, or start their vehicle with a digital car key, additional support for new payment methods on Google Pay in Japan, as well as an option to show open loop transit agencies in the list of purchasable transit passes.
