Google has introduced a new feature that allows users to "check the status of app installs happening on other devices" they own. The company has also expanded optimisations to allow for quicker and more reliable app downloads and installation.
Google has redesigned its child-friendly Kids Space, which allows users to hide recommended apps during onboarding, and to install Kids Space on a tablet''s secondary user account during device setup.
Users will benefit from new Wear OS features such as improved account syncing and account recovery, a new display format that aims to make finding recommended apps more straightforward, automatic companion app installation, and a new secondary menu on Android devices.
According to Android Police, none of these security updates or modifications are currently visible to users on their devices, which might be the case of Google announcing updates before actually making the server-side switches required for the changes to reflect on devices.
The update also enables users to get visual feedback when they lock, unlock, or start their automobile with a digital key, as well as increased support for new payment methods on Google Pay in Japan, and a way to enable users to include open loop transit agencies on the list of purchasable transit permits.
