On Thursday evening, tens of thousands of users reported issues with Zoom, one of the most popular video-calling apps. Despite all of the complaints, Zoom assured its users that it is actively working to resolve the issue. Another hour, the platform announced that the issue had been fixed, and users may not be faced with it anymore.

According to Downdetector, on Thursday evening, around 40,377 users reported experiencing Zoom issues. These were the first encounters between 8 and 9.30pm IST in India.

Despite the majority of complaints concerning a lack of connection to conferences or meetings, users were confronted with security issues as long as they were logged in.

Zoom issued a statement on Twitter shortly after, reassured users that it is aware of the issue and is working to tackle it. A video-conferencing platform also informed that its engineering team is involved in examining the issue.

The company updated the status with another tweet within an hour, informing users that the issue has been fixed, and the app should be working properly for the time being.
