According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S25 might be the first smartphone from South Korea to have any physical buttons. However, several sources in the past had already suggested that the devices that do not include any physical buttons. Vivo was the first company to create a smartphone, known as Apex 2019 concept phone, with no ports or buttons.
Samsung might remove all the physical buttons that include the power key and the volume rocker from future flagship phones, according to reports. This change is expected to happen a few years in advance, and the Galaxy S25 series will include these buttons. It was speculated that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series might have a model that would do away with the physical buttons altogether. However, that particular model may not be available for everyone.
According to the report, a Samsung Galaxy S25 series model with no physical buttons might be exclusive to KT Corporation, a wireless company in South Korea. Other handsets may include buttons that are equipped on current smartphones. As per the report, the KT-exclusive version may also have new software capabilities to help compensate the lack of physical buttons.
This is not the first time a claim about a smartphone without a physical button has surfaced online. In fact, a concept smartphone by Vivo that does not have one single button or port was unveiled in January 2019. It included no ports, no physical buttons, and no selfie camera. It simplified with capacitive touch and pressure sensing.
Meizu Zero was also unveiled at the same time as the Vivo Apex 2019. It was also a smartphone with no buttons and no ports for charging the handset.
