More iPhone 14 Pro OLED panel orders will be made by Samsung ...

According to those who know the subject, Samsung Display is expected to receive additional OLED panel orders for the iPhone 14 Pro series.

The Elec reports that the company had purchased additional equipment from AP Systems, HB Solution, and Philoptics late last month. They will send the equipment to Samsung''s factory in Vietnam, where display plates are divided into modules before delivery.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max will see its largest upgrade in display panel functionality, owing to an LTPO TFT technology.

Samsung Display has increased its iPhone OLED delivery target from the previous 130 million units to 149 million units due to Cupertino''s increased demand. The company has the longest history of manufacturing OLED panels among competitors.

It''s interesting to note that apart from Samsung, LG Display is a source for these iPhone screens, making sense, therefore the company is dealing with issues with a low yield rate.

Samsung had similar issues back in 2020 with its first LTPO OLED technology for Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but a couple of years after, its South Korean company will benefit most from this technology, as it learned how to make it.

Apple will now sell more iPhone 14 Pro models than iPhone 14 regular versions. Additionally, the iPhone 14 Plus will only be available early next month, implying that users have more options than they have currently.

The iPhone 14 Pro is a successor to the previous Dynamic Island, which has improved its camera system, and a brand-new A16 Bionic chip.
