Discord Voice is now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S ...

Microsoft and Discord have announced the introduction of the latter''s very popular voice chat solution onto Xbox consoles back in July. At the start, Xbox Insiders gained access at first for testing purposes, but now everyone is invited as the feature has officially opened across Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles.

Before using Discord, Xbox users will need to connect their account to it, giving permission to access Voice on the Xbox console. Head to the User Settings > Connections tab on Discord desktop, web, or mobile, and select the Xbox logo to begin the process. Keep an eye on this step as it must be completed even if the accounts have been connected previously.

"Discord was conceived as a way to re-establish people around games no matter what platform they use. Regardless, Discord users around the world have been requesting it for, and were shocked to see it through our friends at Xbox." Discord has confirmed that the event has been announced.

Users can''t directly join a Discord call from an Xbox console, but they may have a voice call from Discord to Xbox. Following the steps, they can join a Discord voice channel on mobile or desktop, hit the New Join on Xbox button, and the Xbox mobile app will send the call over to the linked Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console.
