Microsoft is planning a Surface Event for 2022 in a week. A report by The Prime Gaming has revealed the names of Microsoft''s upcoming Surface Gaming laptops.

According to these reports, the next Surface Gaming laptop will include Intel Alder Lake H series processors, including the Core i7-12800H and the Core i5-12500H.

As with any gaming laptop, the device will no longer depend on simple integrated graphics. Fortunately, the i5 model will now have a dedicated graphics card from Nvidia. Apparently, the Core i7 model will have the RTX 3070 Ti 8GB laptop GPU.

Another key feature is a 1440p 16" PixelSense Flow display, a 16GB or 32 GB LPDDR4x memory, and more. A storage case includes a 2TB removable SSD. This may be able to take advantage of the DirectStorage API.

The full specs in the image below are shown.

However, there appears to be no indication of such a thing happening on the surface gaming laptop, particularly if gaming laptops will typically need the highest CPU core, and AMD''s strength with Ryzen 6000 series mobile APUs is certainly the RDNA 2-based integrated graphics.

According to previous claims, Redmond''s company is making a Ryzen 6000-based Surface in the form of the Surface Laptop 5. So there might be something for AMD enthusiasts after all in the upcoming Surface event.
