Season 6 of Cobra Kai: Everything We Know So Far ...

Maintain your standoff for Cobra Kai season 6! Although Netflix hasn''t confirmed the launch of the Karate Kid sequel series, it appears that it''ll be a matter of time. Plus, season 5 has a significant twist and a cliffhanger that''s just begging for a resolution.

Season 6 of Cobra Kai: Here''s what you should know.

Cobra Kai season 6 release date speculation

Season 6 of Cobra Kai has not been renewed on Netflix, although fans have little reason to worry about it as it is the most popular streaming service.

We expect a repeat in the next few weeks, but we would also be surprised if an announcement reveals Cobra Kai season 6 is the final chapter, considering it revolves around the Sekai Taikai world tournament. That sounds like the biggest stage in martial arts, and it''s difficult to imagine where future seasons will go.

So, when the Cobra Kai season 6 release date will be announced, then on YouTube, and Netflix, seasons have been aired a year or less apart. The wait between seasons 4 and 5 was just nine months!

Season 6 is likely to premiere that soon, but it may even take longer than a year, considering that the show''s producers are busy with other things. Jon Hurwitz recently tweeted that "Season 6 hasn''t been completed. Will get on it after the filming Obliterated, but a lot of kickass thoughts have already been percolating."

Our guess is that Cobra Kai will be here in summer or fall 2023.

Cobra Kai season 6 cast

In Cobra Kai''s sixth season, William Zabka plays Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso, among the many major cast members is expected to return.

Martin Kove should replace John Kreese, the former owner of Cobra Kai and Johnny''s abusive mentor. Season 6 will likely bring Yuji Okumoto back as Chozen, the sensei of Miyagi-do in Okinawa.

Johnny and Daniel''s family should be included in the mix, with Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso (Daniel''s wife); Vanessa Rubio as Carmen Diaz (Johnny''s girlfriend and Miguel''s mother); Griffin Santopietro as Anthony LaRusso; Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene; and Xolo Mariduena as Miguel Diaz.

Other prominent students and karate enthusiasts are expected to return, including:

Sean Kanan might be brought back on season 6 as Mike Barnes, previously known as the "bad boy of karate" who worked for Terry Silver. However, we might not be surprised at how much Thomas Ian Griffith might be in prison.

The Karate Kid series has now drawn past characters from three of the films for the purpose of putting Hilary Swank back in the lead role. Julie Pierce has now been shown as a Julie Pierce.

In a video with Fandom, co-creator Jon Hurwitz was very uninterested about the topic (opens in a new tab).

"We all can say about her is we love Hilary Swank. We believe she is an amazing actress and we love her in this series," says the filmmaker. "We can''t say if she''ll return, we can''t say how she''d return if she wasn''t.

"We can say that we talk about her, and maybe we''ve met her, maybe we''ve worked with her, maybe we haven''t. We can''t tell you anything until either she shows up or the series ends, and we answer it every time!"

Season 6 of Cobra Kai, as discussed, and season 5''s ending

The Cobra Kai season 5 finale features a set of two parts. Johnny, Chozen, and Mike take on Terry Silver and his sensei thugs at Silver''s house, while Miyagi-do/Eagle Fang students dive into Cobra Kai to take photos of Silver''s pastierie.

With Mike''s help, Silver tries to slice Chozen across the back.

Daniel advances to the Cobra Kai dojo where his students (including their daughter Sam and son Anthony) are brawling with their foes. Silver is able to upload video from the Miyagi-do community to give Tory the victory in the All Valley tournament.

Silver joins Silver on scene and challenges Daniel to a karate duel. Both are well-known. The Cobra Kai students, disgruntled with Silver, collect their uniforms. Johnny and Chozen return to the game, sharing their memories with their family and friends. Sam and Miguel kiss and makeup, as do Robby and Tory.

John Kreese, who is arrested after being stabbed by a fellow inmate, appears dead in court. Jello, Kreese brings out the guards, takes a doctor''s coat, and uses a stolen passe to waltz. Cobra Kai still never died.

In season 6, Kreese may seek revenge on Johnny and Daniel for tricking him into helping them battle Silver. He is likely to gain control over Cobra Kai, as did Miyagi-do/Eagle Fang. It''s unclear if Silver''s legal difficulties will barre him from competing, but Kreese may rather find a way to lead them.

Many of Cobra Kai''s students have left the gym and may join Miyagi-do/Eagle Fang (qui must decide on a name).

While following their training to compete in the Sekai Taikai, Cobra Kai may shuffle the students around.

Is Cobra Kai season 6 the final season?

Season 6 of Cobra Kai appears to be a perfect time to finish, with students competing in a worldwide event.

While a co-creator has tweeted (opens in a new tab) that "we anticipate more Cobra Kai to arrive, and that the Miyagiverse is far from finished."
