Adults Only rating or loot boxes are not included in Assassins Creed Mirage ...

Following a weekend of turmoil, Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassins Creed Mirage does not have an Adults Only rating. The publisher makes the issue a mistake and says that the game will not feature gambling, as an Xbox listing indicated.

Fans of Saturday''s Ubisoft Forward stream noticed that the Xbox store page for Assassins Creed Mirage had a rating of Adults only, indicating that the game had intense violence, partial nudity, and other features. What really caught them attention was the inclusion of Real Gambling as the game''s AO rating.

Ubisoft said that the rating was a "mattery" given after the release of Assassins Creed Mirage during Ubisoft Forward, but some store pages incorrectly displayed the game for pre-orders with an Adults Only ESRB rating. While Assassins Creed Mirage is still pending, Ubisoft said that it is confident that no real gambling or loot boxes are present in the game.

Given the wide range of AO ratings being given out, there are some flaws with the statement. Before the Ubisoft Forward preshow began, an Adults Only ESRB rating appeared on the screen. When asked why an AO was placed on the stream, Ubisoft noted that it will update it.

The highest rating for all games for the Ubisoft Forward stream was shown. Ubisoft warns Digital Trends has since changed to include a rating Pending ESRB label.

While it appears to be more confusion behind the scenes than Ubisoft''s statement suggests, players will likely not have to worry about loot boxes in Assassins Creed Mirage when it launches next year.
