Some iOS 16 features will only be available to iPhones with the A12 Bionic chip or newer, which areiPhone XR,iPhone XS,iPhone 11,iPhone 11 Pro,iPhone SE (2nd gen),iPhone 12,iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone SE (3rd gen).

Here are some features that will benefit only a few iPhones with iOS 16 later this autumn:

Text is now fully interactive in paused video frames, so you may use techniques such as copy and paste, lookup, and Translate. This feature works in Photos, Quick Look, Safari, and other applications.

Quick actions in Live Text: With a single tap, data seen in photos and videos is instantly actionable. Track flights or shipments, translate foreign languages, and convert currencies.

Live Text''s new language has been identified in iOS 16, and the language is recognized in the country.

When you send messages with Siri, you may include emoji in texts. Its available in Cantonese (Hong Kong), English (Australia, Canada, India, United States, French, German, and Chinese, including China mainland, Taiwan), and Spanish (Mexico, Spain, South Korea).

Discover Siri capabilities and apps: Open an app and ask, Hey Siri, what can I do here? or you may contact an app by saying, for example, Hey Siri, which app you can use to say, for example, Spanish (Mexico, Spain, United States), French (Japan), Mandarin Chinese (China mainland), and Cantonese (Hong Kong).

In iOS 16, you may tap in the text field, move the cursor, and add QuickType suggestions, without having to stopDictation.

iPhone XR/XS camera lets you easily add medications with the same location in iOS 16. Simply place the medication label in the frame, and youll see results for medication name, strength, and form.

Spotlight, like iOS 16, utilizes information from images in Messages, Notes, and Files to assist travelers in any location, person, scene, or even information in the pictures, such as text, a dog, etc.

Improved Visual Look Up: removing the subject from an image or isolate it by removeing the background. This works in Photos, Screenshot, QuickLook, Safari, and others.

Visual Loop Up adds recognition of birds, insects, and statues to new domains.

Astronomy wallpaper: With iOS 16 beta 2, Apple made available the Astronomy wallpapers for iPhone XR and iPhone XS users. Previously, it would only work with A13 compatible devices.

iOS 16 features for iPhone 11 and later

Transcriptions are created automatically in real-time for people who are deaf or difficult of hearing, so they can follow along more easily with conversations, audio, and video. Requires an iPhone 11, iPad with A12 Bionic chip, or Mac with Apple silicon. Only available in English (Canada, US).

iOS 16 features exclusive to iPhone 13 models

iOS 16 has also included additional features in iPhone 13 models:

Portrait mode allows you to blur objects in the foreground of a photo for a more realistic depthoffield effect.

When recording in cinematic mode on iPhone13 and iPhone13Pro, the depthoffield effect is more accurate for profile angles and around the edges of hair and glasses.

Features exclusive to iPhone 14 models

In 4k, users may select between 1080p at 30 frames per second, 4k at 24 frames per second, or 4K at 30 frames per second when recording audio in cinematic mode.

Action Mode: Even if the video is being captured in the middle of the action, the iPhone 14 has a new Action Mode that reduces significant shakes, motion, and vibrations.

iOS 16 compatible iPhones that provide a fresh battery icon.

Apple has added a new battery icon with iOS 16 beta 5. Unlike some iPhone versions, these include a few more.
