Ubisoft has just announced four new Assassin's Creed games set in Baghdad, Japan, and beyond ...

During the Ubisoft Forward live stream, Ubisoft said that it''s possible to expect the Assassin''s Creed franchise to open at least four additional games, including one set in a location that fans have long requested.

Assassin''s Creed games are on the verge of becoming available.

Assassin''''s Creed Mirage

When we first received information on Assassin''s Creed Mirage, little information was available. Thankfully, a brand-new CG trailer revealed more of what we can anticipate.

This game, which was initially designed for ancient Baghdad, features a young Basim, who was included in several of the most recent Assassin''s Creed games, including the Creed: Valhalla. It takes about 20 years before that title, and involves Basim training to become a member of "The Hidden Ones," or the group that would eventually become the Brotherhood of Assassins. According to Shohreh Aghdashloo, Basim is the mentor of The Expans

According to Ubisoft, this entry will return the series to its roots. We''re not sure if Mirage will be smaller in scope or because it''s set in the Middle East like the very first Assassin''s Creed.

Assassin''''s Creed Codename Red

The most shocking (yet free) news is that Ubisoft will finally release an Assassin''s Creed game set in Feudal Japan. I say "finally" because this is a setting fans have demanded for years. We saw an extremely brief trailer with a shinobi who is presumably a Hidden One or in training to become a member of the order.

I said in the Ubisoft forward 2022 recap, it''ll be interesting to see how it compares to the excellenthost of Tsushima. PlayStation''s hit title is effectively the Japan-centered Assassin''s Creed game we''ve ever used.

Assassin''''s Creed Valhalla, Infinity and more

The already-expansive Assassin''s Creed Valhalla will receive yet another piece of DLC later in 2022. Though Ubisoft didn''t outright say it, the expansion''s "The Last Chapter" moniker all but tells us this might be the final piece of content for the game. Unfortunately, the brief trailer didn''t reveal much information.

Ubisoft has also discussed Assassin''s Creed Infinity, which will be a function of an online platform for upcoming games in the series that gamers can presumably participate in, although we do not know exactly how it will work out. The aforementioned Codename Red, along with another title, Codename Hexe, will be under the umbrella of Infinity.

A second-generation mobile game set in ancient China, Project Jade, was added. Ubisoft promises this title will feature everything from the mainline games, but it didn''t detail what that means.

After 15 years, it''s clear that Ubisoft isn''t letting the Assassin''s Creed franchise go away. Although the series hasn''t always produced impressive entries, it has mostly been of high quality during its time. I''m extremely interested in the series'' Assassin''s Creed Mirage and Codename Red.

In the coming months (and years), we should focus on all of these projects, so be sure to return here for all of the Assassin''s Creed news as soon as we receive it.
