Release date for Indiana Jones 5 and everything we know so far ...

Because Dr. Jones looks like he''s got a murderer''s row of co-stars ready to make this a must-see. Yes, the early acquisitions of Mads Mikkelsen and Phoebe Waller-Bridge were apparently not enough, and they had to go out and add cast members that have us blinking our eyes, looking at a crew that''s almost too good, and wondering if this is a trap we must delicately solve.

The Indiana Jones saga''s most recent chapter, and the first under The Walt Disney Company, is currently without a real title. That said, it has been a topic of discussion since 2008. It''s also a major role for itself, as it''s the follow-up to the widely-panned Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Who will be trusted in order to make sure Dr. Jones and his whip receive a better outing? We just got another piece of the Indiana Jones 5 cast, and it''s a meaty one at that giving us more reason to have faith in this new project. And even the film''s composer gives us reason to examine this one of the most anticipated films of 2022.

While it was not announced as explicitly as we wanted, it is still unknown, according to D23 sources. This is Ford''s final film in the series.

Back when executive meetings still mentioned Shia LaBeouf''s return, Indiana Jones 5 has progressed, and George Lucas said (opens in new tab) that there was a possibility that LaBeouf might play the role of star of the film. In the days that passed, LaBeouf openly criticized the production of Indy 4, and Harrison Ford described the younger actor as a "f***ing idiot."

The Walt Disney Company purchased Lucasfilm, and all the work for Indiana Jones 5 started. While we don''t know much about the story itself, Harrison Ford has given us reason to think about Indy 5 as a little conclusive, telling IGN (opens in a new tab) that the film will see a part of [Indys] history resolved.

Following the success of her comic book, Waller-Bridge has a packed docket of projects, including a Amazon Prime video series based on Mr. and Mrs. Smith, where Donald Glover co-stars.

The crew for Indy 5 was revealed later that month, Deadline (opens in a new tab) revealed two additional names: Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) and Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron). Indiana Jones 5 potential villains

In the Indiana Jones 5 cast, there are two potential baddies: Mads Mikkelsen and Thomas Kretschmann. Both are unidentified, but each has a history of being the bad guy. Also,Banderas is a strong candidate.

Is Indiana Jones 5 a candidate for either type? We''d be more interested in a version where Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the bad gal.

Indiana Jones 5 crew

Expect Indiana Jones 5 to sound even better. Indy has come back to the score, but we learned from Steven Spielberg''s return in 2016, when he was confirmed on the red carpet for the American Film Institute event honoring him with a lifetime achievement award.

Indiana Jones 5 trailer speculation

If you see a site that boasts to have a Indiana Jones 5 trailer, it''s likely to be a booby-trapped forgery. A bit far off from an Indy 5 trailer, as casting is still underway.

As it is still in production, Indiana Jones 5''s trailer might be released in winter 2021/22.
