Ubisoft''s forward stream was broadcast on today and it has joined forces with Netflix to pass several projects on. Valiant Hearts 2, Mighty Quest 2, and an Assassins Creed mobile game will be available exclusively on Netflix. Besides, a live-action Assassins Creed show will be available on Netflix.
There were a few other details about the Assassins Creed mobile game or the TV show, but Valiant Hearts 2 is a brand new game announcement. It''s a sequel to 2014''s Valiant Hearts: The Great War.
According to a blog post during the presentation, Netflix has significant intentions for the Assassins Creed IP. Out of the live-action show, the game will feature many anime and animated adaptations. The present day show is no showrunner.
The move is part of Netflix''s move into video gaming industry. Last year, Netflix acquired Night School Studio, the company''s founders. Next Games and Texas-based developer Boss Fight Entertainment also acquired the platform.
It''s interesting to see Netflix enter the gaming world, but the platform still has a long way to go. Netflixs games have been downloaded 23.3 million times and are played by 1.7 million subscribers daily. However, it is only 1% of the worldwide subscriber base of 221 million.
So far, the platform has seen the release of several high-profile indie games, including Spiritfarer, Into the Breach, and Moonlighter. A number of other titles, such as Immortality, are also coming to Netflix.
